I got my real estate license when I was 21 years old. I was young ambitious and DESPERATE to be self-employed and on my own, free from all bosses.

The thing is, I never once in the 15 jobs I had in the best ever had a “good boss”. Meaning, we got along nicely, he wasn’t an a**hole and most importantly, offer encouragement and incentive, rather than powertrips and abuse of authority.

So, unfortunately, my job experience prior to real estate was totally awful for the most part. And real estate was a REALLY NICE change of pace from all that.

I was able to make my own hours, work as much or as little as I wanted, didn’t have to listen to or take no crap from anyone and I truly felt free for a while.

All the while, I had no idea what my realistic income would be as a real estate agent. I remember before even getting my real estate license, watching HGTV with my mom, and one of those shows was showing how much commission the real estate agents would potentially make if they sold that home. And I have to say, I was blown away and immediately felt inspired and optimistic that I would be able to do the same.

Little did I know back then, the TRUTH about how much real estate agents ACTUALLY MAKE. Honestly, if I would have known this truth back then, I probably would have thought twice about getting in real estate if I knew the cold hard facts.

But I certainly do not regret my path in life, because ultimately, it led me to where I am today, here on YouTube, making these videos for you. It was an important part of my life journey and I have learned a ton of valuable information that I will certainly use for the rest of my life when it comes to being financially educated, being able to find solid real estate investments, and business/life/ and people skills.
