Starting quarterback Tyler Van Dyke threw a touchdown, but completed just 16 of 32 passes for 138 yards and was relieved by Jake Garcia who went 10-19 with 169 yards. Running back Thaddius Franklin Jr. rushed for 2 touchdowns in the game and wide receiver Key’Shawn Smith caught 4 passes for 81 yards for the ‘Canes. MTSU quarterback Chase Cunningham threw for 408 yards and 3 touchdowns and rushed for a touchdown in the win.
